These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Mochi & Me (the "App"), operated by Autarex Ltd ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading or using Mochi & Me, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The Service

Mochi & Me is a daily life companion app featuring Mochi, a character who checks in with you, listens to your day, and helps you build small positive habits through conversation, journaling, and optional reminders.

Mochi & Me is not a medical service, therapy, or mental health treatment. The App and Mochi's dialogue are for companionship and personal reflection only. Nothing in the App constitutes professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Mochi's responses are pre-written creative dialogue — they are not personalized clinical guidance.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis resource immediately:

2. Accounts

You do not need to create an account to use Mochi & Me. The App automatically generates an anonymous identifier on first launch that preserves your progress locally on your device.

You may optionally link your anonymous account to an Apple ID or Google account. This enables cloud backup and restoration of your data. When you link your account, the same anonymous identifier is associated with your sign-in — it does not change.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of the device and account you use to access the App. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

We do not offer account deletion through the App. To delete your account and associated cloud data, email hello@mochiandme.app. See our Privacy Policy for details.

3. Subscriptions

Premium Plans

Mochi & Me offers an optional Premium subscription that unlocks additional features, conversation modes, and content. Premium is available in two plans:

• Monthly — $6.99 USD per month
• Annual — $49.99 USD per year

Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Current pricing is always displayed in the App before purchase.

Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the confirmed purchase price.

How to Cancel

• iOS — open Settings > tap your name > Subscriptions > Mochi & Me > Cancel Subscription
• Android — open Google Play > tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Mochi & Me > Cancel subscription

Cancelling stops future renewals. You retain Premium access until the end of your current paid period. We do not offer prorated refunds for the unused portion of a subscription period.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). Refund requests are handled directly by Apple or Google according to their refund policies. We do not process refunds ourselves. To request a refund:

Free Features

The free version of Mochi & Me includes daily check-ins, journaling, morning and evening notifications, and water, posture, stretch, and eye break reminders. Premium features are clearly marked in the App.

Cancellation and Downgrade

If your subscription expires or is cancelled, your account will return to the free tier. Any Premium-exclusive progress, content, or conversation history remains visible but new Premium interactions will be unavailable until you resubscribe.

4. Intellectual Property

All content in Mochi & Me — including the Mochi character design, artwork, illustrations, animations, dialogue scripts, audio, and the App itself — is the proprietary intellectual property of Autarex Ltd and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from the App without our prior written permission.

5. Your Content

Content you create within the App — including your journal entries and the name you share with Mochi — belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and transmit your content solely as necessary to provide the App's services (for example, to sync your journal to cloud backup if you are signed in). We do not use your content for any other purpose.

We do not read, analyze, or use your journal entries for marketing, advertising, AI model training, or any purpose other than delivering the service you requested.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user's data
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App or its servers
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to interact with the App
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Mochi & Me is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not warrant that any defects will be corrected or that the App or its servers are free from viruses or other harmful components.

Mochi's pre-written dialogue is not personalized advice. It is creative companionship content. We make no representations that Mochi's responses are appropriate or suitable for your specific circumstances.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Autarex Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App.

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you have not made any payments.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

9. Termination

You may stop using Mochi & Me at any time by uninstalling the App. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data from your device. If you have an account linked via Apple or Google and wish to delete your cloud data as well, email hello@mochiandme.app.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to other users or our systems. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify you within the App. Continued use of Mochi & Me after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to updated Terms, please stop using the App and uninstall it.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States.
